The Eatery Manager is responsible for overseeing employees within the Eatery Department, which is a unique space, a combination of a Kitchen and a Butcher Shop. They oversee and coordinate work across multiple areas and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. This individual makes sure that all goals and time frames are met, including required documentation, and prioritizes tasks as necessary. The GM must have exceptional time management and organizational skills, work well in a team setting, and work well on their own with minimal supervision.

Duties and responsibilities

· Manage daily operations of the Kitchen and Butcher Shop

· Maintain inventory (receipts, bill payments etc.;) keep records of food, supplies and equipment

· Monitor sales, modify procedures and prices accordingly

· Recommend operational improvements, processes, and facilitation of cost reduction initiatives

· Plan and coordinate overall employee schedules

· Monitor employee performance and conduct staff meetings to solve issues and increase productivity

· Deal with customer complaints and resolve situations to ensure customer satisfaction

· Provide leadership, direction and training to all employees and ensure employees are knowledgeable in GMP's, SOP's and safety procedures

· Participate in marketing plans and implementation (Think outside the box to cater to different levels of customers)

· Ensure all safety requirements are met such as personal protective equipment, WHMIS, lockout/tag out procedures and chemical mixing precautions

· Lead by example - by dealing with team members and responding to changes in work environment in a positive manner

· Must possess maturity, treat others with respect in a mentoring environment and adhere to Company Policy and Procedures

Qualifications

· + 5 years’ experience in food or similar environment

· Communication, leadership and paperwork skills

· Attention to quality and accuracy

· Results orientation with a disposition towards continuous improvement

· Highly organized, with strong attention to detail

· Strong positive employee relationship skills

· Ability to problem solve and take initiative.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
