Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Representative to foster relationships with active clients and to source and develop relationships with new clients.

At PowerHouse, due to our remarkable team and quality work, we have gained and developed strong relationships with our clients and pride ourselves on high client retention. Early days, you will manage current accounts, then growing into building new business. For more seasoned construction sales people, we would reward your ability to introduce and win new clients through your existing relationships.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you bring experience in both sales and the construction industry. You are someone who enjoys “wow-ing” your clients and customers by staying one step ahead of their needs. You believe that your reputation and that of your company is a valuable asset that is worth taking time to develop and protect, and know that building trust is a daily activity and commitment.

You enjoy working closely with and supporting a small team and office, and are ready to extend assistance across the business as needed, and you’re looking for a place to grow and apply your skills and knowledge as you expand your network and grow as we grow.


  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Drive sales through the growth of existing clients
  • Generate new business opportunities
  • Directly reaching out to potential clients
  • Developing creative initiative for client outreach
  • Master how to get construction leads and implement a lead generation strategy
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Executing an organized and consistent follow up approach to develop relationships
  • Managing and maintaining a CRM
  • Complete documents on time, such as: scopes, daily office updates, etc.
  • Attend team meetings and events
  • Ability to perform all aspects of selling/closing a project
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends


  • Proven work experience as a sales representative, AND
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction materials and/or experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Strong math, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent time management
  • CRM experience preferred
